Connecting the hydraulic slider control (Version H)
A single-acting hydraulic cylinder with a return spring is used on the AXEO single-
disc spreader: oil pressure closes, spring force opens.
The hydraulic slider actuation is connected to the tractor via a hydraulic hose.
A single-acting control valve is required on the tractor.
Instructions for connecting the hydraulic slider actuator
Always secure the uncoupled hydraulic hoses by means of the retainer pro-
vided for hoses and cables. See
Figure 3.3
.
Always fit dust caps on the uncoupled hydraulic hoses.
Do not permit uncoupled hydraulic hoses to touch the ground.
Open the metering slider of the hydraulic slider control fully before uncoupling
(see Chapter
6.10: Parking and unhitching the single-disc spreader,
page 39
).

Connecting the electric slider actuator: AXEO, Version Q
n
WARNING
Crushing and severing hazard in the vicinity of the applica-
tion rate setting device.
When releasing the setscrew on the application rate end stop, the
slider lever can move unexpectedly and suddenly to the end of the
guide slot, and can cause severe injury to the fingers.
Only release the setscrew of the application rate end stop
when the metering slider is closed.
Never put your fingers in the guide slot of the application
rate setting device.
If the spreader is parked alone (without the tractor), the
metering slider must be opened fully: the hydraulic cylinder
is at the end stop, return spring still under tension.
NOTICE
The single-disc spreaders AXEO 2.1 Q, AXEO 6.1 Q, and AXEO 18.1 Q are fit-
ted with an electronic slider actuator.
The electronic slider actuator is described in a separate operating manual for
the Quantron K operating terminal, which is supplied with the Quantron K oper-
ating terminal.
