Valve spring retainer:
Move the front end of the valve stem horizontally in the central hole of the spring retainer
and remove it.
If the cylinder head is assembled on the cylinder, the spring retainer may fall into the
cylinder, which should be noted.
2) Inspection/maintenance/adjustment:

Outside diameter of valve lifter
Use a micrometer to check the outside diameter of valve lifter. If the diameter is lower than
standard or exceeds the maintenance limit, or the valve surface has visible ablation or cracks,
replace it with a new valve.

Free length of valve spring
Measure free length of valve spring.
If it is below the standard or exceeds service limits, replace the spring.
