Damage to the machine that requires more work must always be repaired by a specialist
workshop. Unauthorized technical issues can cause damage. If you cannot correct the
problem using the measures described here, contact an authorized service center.
TROUBLESHOOTING

The engine
does not start
Incorrect startup procedure Follow the chapter Start the engine
The throttle lever is not in the correct
position
Move the throttle lever to the correct position
The fuel tank is empty Fill the tank with fuel
The air fi lter element is closed Clean the air fi lter element
Loose spark plug
Tighten the candle to the recommended torque - see
Specifi cations
Spark plug wire loose or disconnected
from the plug
Install the spark plug wiring
The candle distance is incorrect
Set the correct distance between the electrodes - see
Specifi cations
The candle is damaged Install a new candle at the correct distance
The carburetor is fl ooded with fuel
Remove the air fi lter element, the spark plug and pull the
starter rope continuously until the carburetor is cleaned
and mount the air fi lter element and the spark plug
cleaned. Start without a throttle
Faulty ignition module Contact an authorized service agent
The engine is
diffi cult to start or
lose power
Contamination, water or stagnant fuel tank Drain the fuel and clean the tank.
The opening in the fuel fi ller cap is clogged Fill the tank with clean, fresh fuel
The air fi lter element is clogged Clean or replace the fuel tank cap
The engine runs
unevenly
The candle is damaged Clean the air fi lter element
The candle distance is incorrect Install a new candle at the correct distance
The air fi lter element is clogged
Set the correct distance between the electrodes - see

The engine is not
working well

The air slots in the engine housing are

Remove any dirt from the slots in the sheath, fan housing,
all air ducts

The cutting mechanism is loose Mount the original candle
The cutting mechanism is unbalanced Tighten the blade
Balance the blade
