The EPC-3307 includes these subsystems:
•
CPU board
: A single-slot peripheral CPU which plugs into a 6U peripheral slot
of a CompactPCI system.
•
Rear Transition module (RTM)
: A rear I/O transition module which plugs into
a rear I/O slot of a CompactPCI system. For more information about the RTM,
see
Appendix E, Rear Transition module (RTM).
The EPC-3307’s CPU board is a Pentium-III based, PC-compatible, single-slot
CompactPCI computer designed for use with CompactPCI bus. The CPU board can
pass hardware compatibility tests for Microsoft’s Windows 95, Windows 98, and
Windows NT
4.0. It can also run other PC operating systems, including Linux,
Solaris, and DOS.
