EPC-3307 Hardware Reference

Removing the RTM

Occasionally you may need to remove the RTM to perform maintenance tasks such
as replacing the battery.

To remove the RTM from the CompactPCI chassis:

1. Press the latch part of the extractors inward until the extractor handle swings

out and pivots freely.

2. Pull outward on the extractor handles until the RTM disengages from the

rear connector.

3. Slide the RTM out of the CompactPCI chassis.

When finished with the tasks at hand, follow the instructions in

Inserting the

RTM

on page 111 to re-install the RTM.
