3.
Basic installation
3.1 HDD installation
Please install the Hard disk before using this product for the first time.
Please connect the HDD power and data cable correctly (our product can support 1
or 2 or 4 or 8 HDDs). How many HDDs it can support depends on which kind of
product the buyer purchases.
Note: the device can run normally without HDD, but cannot do record and playback.
3.2 Mouse connection
To connect the mouse you have the option of using either of the two USB ports
attached to the rear panel. Both can be used for a mouse, flash disk, WIFI or 3G
module/dongle, etc.
3.3 Monitor connection
To view DVR menu and interface system, you will need to connect a computer
monitor to the device. The rear panel has VGA and HDMI video output ports to
connect the monitor to.
4.
Alarm Input and Output Connections
4.1.
Alarm input
Alarm input is grounding alarm input.
Alarm input demand is the grounding voltage signal.
When the alarm is connected with two DVRs or connected with DVR and
other equipment, it should be isolated by relay.
4.2
Alarm output
Alarm output cannot be connected to a high-power load (no more than
1Amp).
When forming the output loop you must prevent high current levels from
damaging the relay. Please use the contact isolator when there is a high-
power load.
