5.2.2 Network Tab
On the Network tab, shown above in Figure 3b, enter the desired
IP Transport
type (ARQ, RTP, or
UDP). Select ARQ to enable error correction. (ProMPEG Forward Error Correction for decoding is
available as an unsupported feature upon request.) ARQ uses RTP over UDP transport. RTP adds
statistics to the UDP header to help keep track of packet loss in the Status display. UDP is most
compatible with third-party video encoders. Enter the
UDP Port
on which to receive IP video
packets. Enter a
Multicast Address
if receiving multicast Ethernet or IGMP v3 packets,
otherwise, leave this field blank
. You can restrict the receipt of a multicast stream to a specific
source IP address by entering a
Multicast Source IP Address
. Enter an input

buffer,
specified in milliseconds, to smooth variations in packet delay and fix packet ordering problems.
The decoder is designed to recover from brief interruptions in the input. However, if you require
that the decoder recover from dynamic changes in the format, encoding or resolution of the input,
we suggest that you enable the
Detect video break
feature for IP/Ethernet input. You can set the
