14. Front panel buttons and LEDs The front panel buttons and LEDs are described as follows:
Power button: Press this button to turn on the QSSC-680.
Reset button Insert a bent paper clip in this hole to reset the
system.
ID System ID
button Press to light front and rear ID LEDs (see table
below for behavior).
Color Condition Occurrence
Off OK ID LED Blue
Blinking ID Button pressed
on chassis
(ID command
executed)
HDD Active
LED Lights for hard drive operation.
NIC2 NIC2 LED Lights green when a connection is made to the
NIC2 port, blinks when NIC2 port is active.
NIC1 NIC1 LED Lights green when a connection is made to the
NIC1 port, blinks when NIC1 port is active.
Status Status LED Displays status/errors and is controlled by
BMC.
Color Condition Occurrence
Amber Blinking System error:
such as tempera-
ture state or fan
failure Status LED
Green Solid OK
Note:
Standard SATA SKU supports 6 x SATA HDDs, from HDD bay 0 to HDD bay 5.
SAS SKU supports 8 x SAS HDDs.
