2. Product Overview

This chapter provides basic information about the QNAP device.

About the TS-x73AU

The TS-x73AU is powered by a high-performance AMD Ryzen™ Embedded V1000 series V1500B quad-
core 2.2 GHz processor, with up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory. The NAS is provisioned for expansion with two
USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port. The
TS-x73AU is available in 8-bay, 12-bay, and 16-bay models. Each TS-x73AU supports installation of SATA
drive bays, features two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, and two PCIe 3.0 x4 slots (or one PCIe 3.0 x 8 slot) for
various applications and expansion options. Encrypted file transfer performance can be enhanced with AES-
NI encryption acceleration.
