Chapter 7: Troubleshooting
Problems may occur and usually can be easily resolved by following these

I. Problem: Skimmer Not Collecting Product
Steps to take:
STEP 1 -
Make sure that there is product in the well.
STEP 2 -
Check if the flexible tubing is collapsed, kinked, or stiff.
STEP 3
- Make sure all fi ings, tubing, and hoses are clear of obstructions,
especially the quick-connects and the small barbs connecting the
flexible tubing.
STEP 4
- Check the variable inlet screws on the side of the the float if the
skimmers is an SPG type. Some may need to be removed if the
product has a high density.
II. Problem:
Water Is Recovered With The Product
Steps to take:
STEP 1 -
Check if the floating intake head of the skimmer is free to move
vertically in the well.
STEP 2 -
Check if the flexible tubing is collapsed, kinked, or stiff.
