Click on the record button. The blinking red light indicates that
WinDAT is in Record Standby mode.

Click on the play button to start recording. The red light will stop
blinking and remain lit, indicating that WinDAT is recording.

Speak into the microphone, or play the material you prepared
earlier. To temporarily halt recording without losing already
recorded material, click the pause button. Click the pause button
again to resume.

Click on the stop button to stop recording.

Click the play button to hear what you've just recorded

Choose save from the file menu, type a new file name in dialogue
box, and choose <OK>

Editing Files
With WinDAT's editing tools you can cut, paste, insert, or delete
data within a file or among several files. You can run several
instances of WinDAT simultaneously to simplify cutting and
pasting between different files.

Software Wavetable Synthesis

Function
Wavetable Synthesizer uses digital samples of actual musical
instruments to create the waveforms produced by those instruments.
Software wavetable synthesis uses the power of the CPU to fetch and
manipulate this data. While this does require the use of some
processing power, it means that no additional hardware is required to
obtain higher-quality sound than would normally be expected from a
PC.
