IDE HDD Auto Detection
The Enhanced IDE features was included in all Award BIOS. Below is a brief
description of this features.

Note: Some OSes (like SCO-UNIX) must use “NORMAL” for installation

1. Setup Changes

BIOS setup will display all possible modes that is supported by the
HDD including NORMAL, LBA and LARGE.

If HDD does not support LBA modes, no “LBA” option will be shown.
♦
If number of physical cylinders is less than or equal to 1024,“LARGE”
option may not be shown.
