Miscellaneous Programming Options.
9.5.1
Tamper Alarm.
Activation of a tamper circuit whilst the control panel is in day mode will normally only activate the extension speakers.
It is possible to program the Octagon II to also activate the external sirens when a tamper alarm is generated in day mode.
This is done as follows:
In Engineer mode enter
followed by
to enable external sirens as above, or
to disable external sirens
as above.
9.5.2
Tamper Activation.
As for "Tamper alarm" given above the digital communicator alarm output will not normally be triggered following activation
of a tamper circuit in day mode. It is possible to program the Octagon II to activate the communicator alarm output as follows:
In Engineer mode enter
followed by
to enable the communicator as above, or
to disable the
communicator as above.
9.5.3
Personal Attack (P.A.) Alarm.
Activation of the P.A. zone whether in day mode or any of the four set modes will activate the communicator output and
any extension speakers, together with the external siren. The Octagon II control panel can be programmed to operate the
communicator output ONLY, giving a "silent P.A.". Programming is as follows.
In Engineer mode enter
followed by
