6: Maintenance & Sensor Verification
Only qualified personnel should perform maintenance and sensor verification
6.1 Sensor Verification
The earth is a stable source of calibrated oxygen at 20.9%, therefore under ambient
conditions you can perform a visual verification of the
Air Check
O
2
monitor to verify
it’s reading at 20.9%. As the oxygen sensor ages over time, it may require a slight
adjustment to 20.9%. The O
2
monitor also requires periodic testing with nitrogen to
verify the cells response to 0% oxygen.

For testing the
Air Check

monitor, PureAire recommends the use of
nitrogen. This can be purchased from your gas supplier, or the gas supplier
listed
below:

standby mode to avoid accidental alarms.
