Enter
“Hardware monitor”
function to view the information of current voltage,
temperature, and fan status.
If
“Auto shutdown”
has been checked, the system will shutdown automatically when
voltage or temperature is out of the normal range. For better data protection, please
check “
Auto Shutdown
”.
For better protection and to avoid single short period of high temperature triggering
Auto shutdown, the iSCSI RAID subsystem use multiple condition judgments for Auto
shutdown, below is the detail of when the Auto shutdown will be triggered.
1.
There are 3 sensors placed on the controller for temperature checking, one for
core processor and the other for the board. The iSCSI RAID subsystem will check
each sensor every 30 seconds. When one of these sensors is over the high
temperature value for 3 times, the Auto shutdown will be triggered immediately.
2.
The core processor temperature limit is 70°C (alarm at 65°C). The board
temperature limit is 65°C (alarm at 60°C).
3.
If the high temperature situation doesn’t detected by 3 times, the subsystem will
not do auto shutdown.
