4.1 Freeway Hardware Configuration
4.1.1 Front View
The disk drive and CD/DVD drive are located in the front of the Freeway cabinet
behind the access door. Both drives are connected to the CPU board with SATA cables.
Figure 4–1 shows the front view of the Freeway cabinet with the access door removed.
4.1.2 Rear View
The Freeway 3414/3414R has eight available PCI slots and 3 available PCIe slots at the
rear of the cabinet. These slots may used by ICP2432B/ICP2432Be boards or by addi-
tional Ethernet boards. Unused slots are covered by metal plates. Figure 4–2 shows the
rear view of a Freeway 3414R.
