WIRELESS EXHAUST AIR CONTROL AS-5120
14
Thank you for purchasing the PROTECTOR AS-5120
Exhaust Air Controller.
The operating instructions are a constituent part of the
device. They contain important notes on safety, use
and disposal. Familiarise yourself with all the operating
and safety notes before using the device. Only use it as
described and for the given areas of use. Pass on all the
documentation if you transfer the device to a third party.
GENERAL
This device can be used as an exhaust air control
device, as an aid to monitor fresh air supply when
commissioning an exhaust air device (fume extractor
hood, fan etc…). This cannot replace self-monitoring
to ensure fresh air supply, but it can be supportive.
This device only activates the exhaust air system in
the event of pressure equalisation when a window or
door is opened. The additional fresh air streaming in can
thus be drawn in from the outside.
ATTENTION!
When using this device for exhaust air control, the
shutter must be open to ensure adequate inflow of
fresh air!
Using additional transmitters
(Maximum number of window transmitters:
6 transmitters)
The device can be extended to include multiple window
transmitters so that the extractor hood is no longer
bound to an individual window. Each individual window
sensor can release the exhaust unit. The exhaust unit
remains released as long as one of the windows is open.
ASSEMBLY
The radio range in a free field is up to 50 meters.
However, depending on the local structural conditions,
the range can be significantly reduced. Therefore please
check before the final installation of the device whether
the radio range is sufficient for proper operation.
Assembly of the receiver
Plug the receiver of the AS-5120 into a socket. Insert
the connector of the device to be connected into the
socket of the receiver and screw on the plug guard
(S)
.
As soon as LED “NETWOK”
(3)
on the receiver lights
up, this is ready for teaching-in window transmitters. If
LED “OFF”
(5)
flashes, please check the plug guard
(S)
for correct assembly.
NOTE
The receiver should not be mounted behind a metal
panel, as the range can be restricted by this.
