1-1. What is RAIDm1?
“RAIDm1” means “ R eliable A ccess I n a D isk by M irror 1 ”, patent pending by
VASSTEK.
RAIDm1 presents robust mirror technology in one hard-disk to provide real-
time data protection.
When saving the file, RAIDm1 writes data into the hard disk in real time by
mirror technology. As bad sectors occur leading to data reading error,
RAIDm1 reads backup data immediately to keep the job working normally.
RAIDm1 protects all data including the boot sectors and all partitions in real
time.
1-2. What is Vadi?
Vadi means “ V ASSTEK A dvanced D isk I ndicator”.
“Vadi Utility is an immediate indicator to inform users when bad sectors occur
as users access the file which is now being read from the backup sector with
flawless and uninterrupted work.
“Vadi” also records the history of bad sectors. Depending on the recorded
history, users can decide whether to take the necessary action like backing
up important data to the secondary storage device or replacing a new hard
disk.
