3. Remove the collet from the collet seat and place in the tool box.
4. Drop the other collet into the collet seat.
5. Screw the collet nut onto the threads of the collet seat. Secure the
collet nut with both wrenches.
OPERATION
WARNING! This tool generates considerable torque when in use.
Always hold the tool with both hands when using and brace yourself
to resist the torque which will be delivered to the workpiece.
1. Clean the die grinder of packing grease before first use. See the
Air Tool Lubrication section for instructions.
2. Install the grinding die (See Assembly & Installation). The type of
grinding die installed will depend on the material and task.
3. Connect the tool to the air source.
4. Set the compressor to the correct air pressure and flow (see
Specifications). Start the compressor.
5. Push the trigger lever safety forward to free the trigger lever (#DG19).
6. Wait until the grinding die has reach full speed before applying it to
the material
7. Test the tool under no load to confirm the grinding die is installed
correctly.
8. Apply the grinding die against the material so the debris is moved
away from the work area. Do not press down too hard, as this can
cause the die to slow or gouge the workpiece.
9. Lift the die grinder from the material and release the trigger lever.
The trigger lever safety will automatically snap back into place.
10. Wait for the grinding die to stop before placing the tool down.
11. Shut the compressor off once the task is completed. Squeeze the
trigger to release residual compressed air from the hose and tool.
Disconnect the tool.
