How to cook efficiently
Using energy in a responsible way
means saving money on the house-
hold budget and helping preserve the
environment. Each kilowatt hour saved
contributes to saving our climate.
Therefore:
• Use the microwave oven instead of
the oven.
• The microwave is more efficient,
particularly when heating liquids and
with foods with a high water content.
• Use the correct dishware.
• Dishware and accessories which are
suitable for microwave ovens barely
absorb energy (see “Suitable dish-
ware”).
• Adhere to the standing time.
After cooking or defrosting the dish-
es, allow them to stand. This means
that the heat will distribute evenly
within the food and will therefore
continue to cook.
