Unpacking the microwave

Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage of the appliance.
■
Never remove the cover in the cook-
ing compartment! It is designed to
protect the magnetron, which emits
the microwaves.
• Completely remove all protective films
from the housing, the inside of the door
and the cooking compartment.
Choosing the correct set-up
location
WARNING
Risk of fi re!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage or may cause a
fi re. Internally trapped heat can short-
en the appliance’s service life.

Make sure there is adequate ventila-
tion. Do not cover the vents, for exam-
ple with oven mitts or cookery books.

When setting up the appliance, en-
sure that the minimum
safety dis-
tances
are maintained which are
specifi ed in the user manual.
■
Do not put the appliance in a closet.
The set-up location must fulfil the following
conditions:

The appliance should not be placed next to
a refrigerator or freezer. Heat loss increases
their energy consumption unnecessarily.
The appliance should have a distance of

least 2 m
to
radio sets, TV sets
etc., so that
the reception is not disrupted.
Clean before first use
The appliance should be cleaned before first
use so that, for example, packaging remains
will not negatively affect the taste of the food.
1. Open the cooking compartment door (5).
2. Completely empty the cooking compart-
ment (1).
3. Wipe the appliance interior and exterior
with a soft, damp cloth.
4. Leave the cooking compartment door
open so that the oven can completely dry
out.
5. Clean the rotary plate (8) and the roller
ring (9) in the dishwasher or with your
hand.
6. Clean the rotisserie rack (7) with your
hand with a small amount of dishwashing
liquid.
