6.9.1.5.
Sub-menu memory (menu 9.1. setting 5.)
OPTIONS:
ON, OFF
This option causes the last sub-menu selection displayed within each menu to be
remembered on exit from the menu so that it is immediately available next time that
menu is entered. For example, in the OFF state, entering the Carrier Tests menu
would always result in the fs Freq sub-menu (1.1.) being offered, even if a different sub-
menu had been in use last time Carrier Tests were performed. In the ON state, if, for
example, the Eye Closure sub-menu (1.5.) happened to be on display when the Carrier
Tests menu was exited, this would be returned to immediately next time the Carrier
Tests menu was entered.
The OFF mode is principally provided for use by the Macro Processor software (see
section 7.4.2.) so that menu navigation is more predictable when writing macros. It also
provides a similar operation to the version 1.0 firmware.
6.9.1.6.
Power save (menu 9.1. setting 6.)
OPTIONS:
ON, OFF
In the ON state, this setting causes the DSA-1 to switch itself off if no keys are pressed
for a period of five minutes during battery operation. In the OFF state, the DSA-1 will
stay on until the battery is exhausted.
6.9.1.7.
Live print (menu 9.1. setting 7.)
OPTIONS:
OFF, ON
In the ON state, 'live-printing' of the Results Log is enabled. During live-printing, any
data entered into the Results Log is also sent to the RS-232 port at the same time.
Operation of the DSA-1 Results Log is described in section 6.8.
