C-S Timecode (menu 2.6.)
This selection displays the Channel Status Timecode fields, if professional format is
detected and timecodes are present.
LOC= 02:22:33:00
DAY=*11:59:21:00
Each of the timecode fields is decoded into an hours:minutes:seconds format with the
units for the last digits dependent on the display mode as follows: the DSA-1 can
decode Channel Status timecode data represented as a binary sample count (as
defined in the interface standard) or as BCD (binary coded decimal) data. These
display modes are indicated by ':' or '.' separators in the timecode display respectively.
The display mode can be toggled using the [EDIT/CLEAR] key.
If an asterisk ('*') is present next to a displayed timecode, that timecode is flagged as
'unreliable' as indicated by the unreliability field in byte 22 of the Channel Status.
This sub-menu is available directly from the `Data Tests' menu to avoid having to scroll
through the Channel Status each time it is wished to inspect the Channel Status
timecodes.
To return to the `Data Tests' level of the menu system, press [EXIT].
