C. IDENTIFYING THE PARTS
This illustration shows the printer and all of the buttons and
the LED indicator light found on the printer.
The
CD Tray Button
opens or closes the
CD Tray
for
loading
and ejecting
CDs
. This button also is pressed and held while
power is applied in order to perform a self-test. Also, the
printer can be reset while unit’s power is on by pressing and
holding this button.
The
Ribbon Cartridge Eject Button
is pressed to remove the
ribbon cartridge
for easy ribbon replacement.
The
LED Status Light
indicates that power is ON. It is on
solid when the printer is busy processing data, blinks slowly
when it is requesting a new CD, and blinks fast to indicate an
error
. For complete information on conditions that would
cause the light to blink in various patterns, please see Section 4.
This illustration shows the input ports found on the rear panel
of the printer.
The
Parallel Interface Port
is provided for connection to your
Windows-based PC. The printer's
Auxiliary Control Port
is for
OEM connection to an autoloader or robotic duplication system
to control tray in/out and other printer functions. For more
information on each of the interface ports, see Appendix A.
