6. Disconnect the charger inhibit and motor connectors from the
power pod. See figure 7.
7. Pull up on the seat lock lever and remove the seat.
8. Remove the retaining pin from the foot platform and lift the
platform off of the power base. See figure 16.
9. Turn the yellow fastener and remove the center shroud. See
figure 6.
10. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back battery.
11. Remove the back battery.
12. Slide the front battery tray forward.
13. Disconnect the wiring harness from the front battery.
14. Remove the front battery.
15. Place a new back battery onto the power base. Make sure
that the terminals are facing forward.
16. Place a new battery in the front of the battery tray. Make sure
that the terminals are facing each other.
17. Connect the wiring harnesses to the front battery. See figures
22 and 23.
WARNING! Prevent injury. Make sure you
tighten the fasteners so that the
connections are secure.
18. Connect the wiring harnesses to the back battery. See figures
22 and 23.
19. Slide the battery tray back into the power base.
NOTE: Make sure that the power pod is out of the
way when reinstalling the batteries.
20. Place center shroud back on top and fasten with yellow
fastener.
21. Reinstall the foot platform.
22. Reinstall the seat.
23. Reconnect the battery connector.
24. Reinstall the rear shroud and tighten the fasteners.
25. Charge the batteries. See VI. Batteries and Charging.
