Function Description
Remote Status
The J8 RS-232 port is normally used for the Servo Control 9600 baud 8N1 xon/xoff. The “Press Utility” REMOTE
menu is by default set to “RMT OFF”.
When the “Press Utility” REMOTE menu is set to “RMT ON”, the J8 RS-232 serial port is enabled for 57600 baud
8N1 xon/xoff Remote Status Commands (see table below). (see page 21 Remote Status section).
When the “Press Utility” REMOTE menu is set to “TCP ON”, the J8 RS-232 serial port needs to be connected to
the Optional Ethernet board. This 6.5” x 5.0” board contains an Ethernet Jack with built in Web server. The CD
that came with the Presscam 8 contains an Ethernet folder with the documentation on
fi nding the IP address of
the Ethernet device and how to attach and run the board.
