Safety Rules
Study these SAFETY RULES carefully before installing,
operating, or servicing this equipment. Become familiar
with this manual and with the unit. The generator set can
operate safely, efficiently, and reliably only if it is correctly
installed, operated, and maintained. Many accidents are
caused by failing to follow simple and fundamental rules
or precautions.
The manufacturer cannot anticipate every possible cir-
cumstance that might involve a hazard. The alerts in this
manual and on tags and decals affixed to the unit are not
all-inclusive. If using a procedure, work method, or oper-
ating technique the manufacturer does not specifically
recommend, verify it is safe for others and does not ren-
der the generator set unsafe.
General Safety
Hot surface. Keep equipment away from
combustible materials during operation.
Do not touch hot surfaces when operating
equipment. After equipment shutdown,
allow sufficient time for surfaces to cool
prior to contact.

The enclosure provides protection against
hot surfaces inside the generator set. Hot
surfaces may be present if the generator set
has been operating under a large load.
Do not open the generator set enclosure
while the generator set is running.
