ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
Numbered references in parenthesis (#1) refer to the included Parts List.
INSPECTING THE GRINDING WHEEL
CAUTION! Only use grinding wheels that are free of
defects to avoid injuries and accidents.
Perform a sound test to check a grinding wheel for
damages before installing.
1. Hold the wheel and insert a pencil through the hole.
The wheel should swing freely on the pencil.
2. Tap the edge of the wheel with another non-metallic
instrument such as another pencil.
The wheel should produce a clear, high-pitched
sound. If the wheel does not produce a sound or the
sound is dampened, the disc may be cracked and
should not be used.
INSTALLING THE GRINDING WHEEL
1. Remove the self-tapping screw (#2).
2. Detach the grinding wheel cover (#1).
3. Remove the grinding wheel stop (#4).
4. Install the desired grinding wheel (#3).
5. Reassemble the grinding wheel knob, grinding wheel cover and self-
tapping screw.
