7. Do not start the tool when the grinding wheel is touching the workpiece.
8. Before using the tool on the workpiece, run the tool without a load for at
least 30 seconds in a safe position. Stop immediately if there is vibration or
wobbling that could indicate incorrect installation or a poorly balanced
grinding wheel. Check the tool to determine the cause.
9. A large amount of sparks will be created when working with a grinding
wheel. Hold the tool so that sparks fly away from you, bystanders or
flammable materials. Have a fully charged fire extinguisher present in the
event of a fire.
10. Do not subject the grinding wheel to any lateral pressure as it may damage
the tool or cause it to kickback.
11. Do not allow the motor to overload or overheat. The motor can run
continuously for 20 minutes. Take breaks to allow the motor to cool.
12. Keep hands and fingers away from the grinding area. Any part of body
coming in contact with moving parts could cause injury.
13. To maintain complete control, firmly hold the tool. Do not place hands over
air vents. Proper cooling of the motor is necessary to ensure normal life of
the tool.
14. Never point the tool towards yourself. If it should slip, part of your body
could come in contact with moving parts.
15. Never force the tool. Excessive pressure could bend or break it, resulting in
damage to the tool, your workpiece or serious personal injury. If the tool
runs smoothly under no load, but does not run smoothly under load, then
excessive pressure is being used.
16. This tool will not stop moving immediately. Do not lay the tool down or
leave it unattended until it has come to a complete stop. A part that is
moving could make the tool jump or grab a surface and pull the tool out of
your control.
