Use
Open petrol tap (b).
If engine is cold, turn choke (a) to start position.
Set cutoff switch to position „1“ (on).
Set throttle lever (4) to idle position. Avoid
opening throttle too wide at start, as the machine
will start to move as soon as engine is started.
Pull start handle (11) gently until you feel
resistance, and allow to return.
Pull start handle to start engine.
Allow engine to warm up, and turn choke gradually
to running position.
Increase engine speed to maximum using throttle
lever.
Select direction using forward/reverse selector (5).
ENGLISH
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Vibration will cause the compactor to move in
the direction selected. Hold handle (3) to control
machine.
Walk slowly and steadily to avoid losing control.
Switch engine off after use by reducing engine
speed with throttle lever and switching switch to
position „0“ (off).
Switch off fuel shutoff.
Good advice on use
Designed for vibration/compacting of asphalt and
grained materials, such as gravel.
Smooth and level the area to be compacted before
starting if possible.
If surface water content is too low, it cannot be
compacted adequately. If it is too high, the
vibration will cause holes full of water which will
reduce the surface load factor. Dry surfaces should
be dampened before using compactor. If water
content is very high, the engine will cut out.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Cause Solution
Compactor moves slowly and
vibrations are weak
1. Engine speed too low
2. Defective
clutch
3. Loose drive belt
4. Too much oil in vibrator
5. Vibrator
defective
6. Defective bearings
7. Engine output too low
1. Adjust speed at throttle handle
2. Get clutch repaired
3. Check drive belt. Repair or replace if
defective
4. Drain oil from vibrator
5. Repair or replace vibrator
6. Replace
bearings
7. Check motor, replace if necessary
Problem starting motor. Fuel
in tank, but no spark at spark
plug
1. Spark plug arcing
2. Carbon deposits on spark plug
3. Spark
plug
short-circuiting
4. Spark plug electrode gap too small
1. Check spark plug electrode gap and
insulation. Replace if defective
2. Clean or replace spark plug
3. Check spark plug insulation. Replace if
defective
4. Adjust electrode gap
Problem starting motor. Fuel
in tank and spark at spark plug
1. On/off switch or coil defective
2. Spark plug electrode gap too little or
carbon deposits on spark plug
3. Condenser short-circuited or
insulation is defective
4. Spark plug lead short-circuiting or
broken
1. Repair or replace defective parts
2. Adjust electrode distance or clean spark
plug
3. Get condenser repaired
4. Get spark plug lead replaced
Problem starting motor. Fuel
in tank and spark at spark plug
Compression is normal
1. Wrong fuel used
2. Water or dirt in fuel system
3. Air filter dirty
1. Drain fuel system, flush through with
petrol or fill with unleaded petrol
2. Drain fuel system, flush through with
petrol
3. Clean or replace air filter
