18. If there is an air gap of 0.040” between
the trip armature actuator (Figure 22, b)
and the latch check operator
(Figure 22, d) of 0.040”, then proceed to
step 20.
i. If there isn’t an air gap, loosen the
10-32 pan head cap screw
(Figure 23, e) and nut. Rotate the
eccentric (Figure 23,d) to obtain
the 0.040” gap and tighten the
hardware.
ii. Hold the trip armature actuator and
loosen the 5⁄16 hex nut (Figure 23, a).
iii. Remove the x-washer (Figure 23, c)
from the push to trip support
bracket rivet.
iv. Remove the trip armature actuator
assembly from the push to trip
support bracket and let it suspend
from the top of the circuit breaker.
v. Rotate the trip armature actuator to
achieve the desired height of 1.676”
+0/-.06” (Figure 24, b) from the top
of the trip roller (Figure 24, a) to
the top of the circuit breaker frame
(Figure 24, c).
Note:
Dimensions can only be measured
when the actuator assembly is
installed.
vi. Hold the trip armature actuator and
tighten the 5⁄16 hex nut.
vii. Replace hardware.
