Installation
Push the manual close paddle (Figure 1, m)
inward and the circuit breaker will close.
The circuit breaker open/closed indicator
(Figure 1, l), located above the manual close
paddle will now display,
“Breaker Closed”.
Push the manual trip paddle (Figure 1, k)
inward, which is located at the top of the
escutcheon and the circuit breaker
open/closed indicator will now display
“Breaker Open”.
5) Electrical Operation Check
To check the electrical operation of the
circuit breaker, the circuit breaker must
be moved to the test position. A test box
or test plug may be used to verify the
electrical operation check. See

Before installing any circuit breaker into a
compartment, the user MUST verify that the
circuit breaker rating meets the metal-clad
switchgear rating.
1) Inserting the Circuit Breaker to the Connected
Position
Follow the steps below to prepare the breaker
for inserting into the compartment and racking
it in the connected position:

Prior to inserting the circuit breaker into the
circuit breaker compartment, make sure that
the control circuits are deenergized.
a. Open the compartment door.
b. Align the breaker with the circuit
breaker compartment.
c. Insert circuit breaker into the
test/disconnect position of the circuit
breaker compartment.
d. Ensure that the test plug receptacle
boot (Figure 1, e) is in place covering
the test plug receptacle.

!
Prior to energizing the control circuits, ensure
that the test plug receptacle boot is properly
installed, covering the test plug receptacle.
Failure to do so could result in serious injury
or even death.
e. Close the compartment door.
f. Press the push to trip knob (Figure 14, a)
g. While the push to trip knob is pressed
in, slide the racking access door
(Figure 14, b) to the left.
