General wiring arrangement for Automist Smartscan. In most installations the
remote STOP is not installed and the associated wire loop remains intact as supplied.
The Smartscan spray head connects to the pump using a Smartscan Head Cable as specified above (p35).
This is achieved by crimping the short trailing Smartscan Head Cable at the rear of the pump to the cable
that has been installed running to the Smartscan spray head. Use pliers to crimp the Butt splice clips when
connecting the pump to the data cable. The cable sequence is critical.
NOTE
: Do not strip the wire when crimping the Butt splice clips. Wires are simply inserted into the housing
and crimped down, which actuates an insulation displacement mechanism, automatically connecting the
two wires into an environmentally gel sealed unit. For neatness it is preferable to enclose these connections
using a Chocbox or similar.
