Firmware Version
This field shows the installed version of the
firmware.

Administrator Password
Enter the password you want to use into
the
“Password Change”
field and re-enter it into the
“Password
Confirm”
field for confirmation. Be sure that the password is less
than 64 characters long and without any special characters or
spaces.

WAN MAC Change
The WAN MAC address can be changed from
the original values if necessary. Some ISPs require users to change
the WAN MAC address to a registered one when users change their
access equipment.

External Admin.
Choose
“Enable”
to allow you to configure the
BLW-04G from the WAN side. Enter a port number between 1024 and
65535 (8080 is recommended). This port number must be specified
when you connect. To access the setting page from the external side,
enter “
http://<WAN IP Address>:<Port Number>”
into the web
browser address bar and press the “
Enter”
key.

MTU
MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) value should only be
changed if advised to do so by Technical Support. Enter a value
between 1 and 1500. This device will still auto-negotiate with the
remote server, to set the MTU size. The smaller of the 2 values
(auto-negotiated, or entered here) will be used. For direct
connections (not PPPoE or PPTP), the MTU used is always 1500.

Block WAN Request
The ICMP protocol is used by the "ping" and
"traceroute" programs, and by network monitoring and diagnostic
programs. If
Enable
, ICMP packets from the Internet will be ignored.
Disabling this option provides a slight increase in security.
