MASTER BAT switch to ON. 14 VDC from the external power unit will
energize the main distribution and essential distribution buses.
The airplane may now be started or electrical equipment operated.
CAUTION:
If maintenance on avionics systems is to be performed, it is rec-
ommended that external power be used.
To remove external power from airplane:

Carefully remove cables from battery terminal and exhaust.
8.6.2
TAXIING / GROUND MOVEMENTS
Before attempting to taxi the airplane, ground personnel should be instruct-
ed and authorized by the owner to taxi the airplane. Instruction should in-
clude engine starting and shutdown procedures in addition to taxi and steer-
ing techniques. All Normal procedures apply.
CAUTION:
Verify that taxi and propeller blast areas are clear before begin-
ning taxi.
Do not operate the engine at high RPM when running up or taxiing over
ground containing loose stones or any loose material that may cause dam-
age to the propeller blades. Taxi with minimum power needed for forward
movement. Excessive braking may result in overheated or damaged brakes
and/or fire. Observe wing clearance when taxiing near buildings or other
stationary objects. If possible, station an observer outside the airplane. Avoid
holes when taxiing over uneven ground.

Remove chocks.

Start engine in accordance with Starting Engine procedure.

Release parking brake.

Advance throttle to initiate taxi. Immediately after initiating taxi, apply
the brakes to determine their effectiveness.

Taxi airplane to desired location.
