SECTION 4 - NORMAL PROCEDURES
1. Preflight Check.
a. Turn battery switch on and verify that VAC OFF light is
illuminated.
NOTE
Due to electrical power requirements of the
auxiliary vacuum pump it is suggested that the
engine be operating while making the following
checks.
b. Press auxiliary vacuum pump switch on and verify AUX ON light
is illuminated. Electrical load should be approximately 15 amps on
ammeter.
c. Press auxiliary vacuum pump switch off and verify AUX ON light
goes out.
2. Inflight Check - Prior to entering instrument flight conditions.
a. Turn off non-essential electrical equipment.
b. Press auxiliary vacuum pump switch on and verify AUX ON light
illuminated. Electrical load should be approximately 15 amps on
ammeter.
c. Press auxiliary vacuum pump switch off and verify AUX ON light
goes out.
NOTE
For maximum service life, avoid continuous
non-emergency operation of the auxiliary
vacuum pump.
