Remote Control of Other Components
CD player or MD recorder operations
•
The following operations are available from the amplifier’s control after you program your CD
player or MD recorder into it, but some operations may need to be learned separately by the
amplifier (see "Setting Up the Remote Control to Control Other Components," p. 50-53).
• To perform these operations, press the CD or MD/TAPE 1 button to set the remote to the CD or MD
operation mode.
• For more information on individual commands consult the manual that came with the component.

Press to switch the CD player/MD recorder on or off.

Press to return to the beginning of the current
track. Press repeatedly to return to the beginning of
previous tracks.

Press to advance to the beginning of the next
track. Press repeatedly to advance to the beginning
of following tracks.

Hold down for fast reverse playback.

Press to start recording (may put some decks in REC
PAUSE mode).
[CD] DISC
Use to switch between discs with file type disc
players.

You can also use this button when selecting track
numbers higher than 10.

Use to clear tracks or programmed selections.

Use to select tracks with high numbers. The button
will increase the track number in increments of ten.

[MD] NAME
Use to name tracks or programmed selections.
[CD] >10
You can also use this button when selecting track
numbers higher than 10.

[MD] EDIT MODE
Allows you to edit names and numbers of tracks.
[CD] RDM
Use to select the random playback function. The CD
player will play all the tracks on the disc in a random
order.

[MD] DISP
Allows you to change the display mode of the MD.
[CD] TRACK
Use to select the track (not possible with all models).

[MD] INPUT
Switches between the analog and digital input.
[CD] PRGM
This button allows you to program a series of tracks
into the tracks into the CD player (may not be
possible with some CD players).
