HOW TO IDENTIFY A TV
When this remote control unit leaves factory, it is already
identified with the Pioneer TV code as denoted by the
Î
mark.
If you are using Pioneer TV bearing the
Î
mark, the
remote control unit can be used as it is.
To Identify Your TV – Direct Entry Method
Use the following steps and list to quickly find the remote
control code for your TV.
• First look up the remote code number of your TV before
going through the direct code entry steps below.
• If this procedure does not identify your TV, use the
Search method of identification (described in the next
section).
(1) Press
(2) Press and hold down
and CH DOWN (
)
on your remote control.
Then release both buttons.
(3) Within ten seconds after releasing
and CH
DOWN (
), enter the two-digit code number of your
TV using the numeric buttons (refer to list on this page).
• The remote control is now ready to send commands to
your converter.
• Some brands have more than one remote code listed,
due to changes in the remote codes from early to later
model years. In such cases, you may have to try more
than one code to find the code your TV accepts.
NOTE
Depending on the model, year produced, brand, and type of TV, some
models may not be compatible with the remote control.
