1 Connect the VIDEO OUTPUT jack to a
video input on your TV.
Use the yellow jack of the su pp lied audio/
video cable fo r the video connection.
2 Connect the AUDIO OUTPUT jacks to
the corresponding audio inputs on your
TV.
Use the r ed and white jacks of the su pp lied
audio/video cable fo r the audio connection.
Make su r e you match u p the left and r ight
out p uts with thei r co rr es p onding in p uts fo r
co rr ect ste r eo sound.
Using the S-Video or component
video output
1 Connect the S-Video or component
video output to a similar input on your
TV.
Fo r an S-Video connection, use an S-Video
cable (not su pp lied) to connect the
S-VIDEO
OUTPUT jack to an S-Video in p ut on you r TV.
Fo r a com p onent video connection, use a
com p onent video cable (not su pp lied) to
connect the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT
jacks to a com p onent video in p ut on you r TV.

satellite receiver
If you have a cable box o r satellite r eceive r
with a built-in decode r , connect it to this
r eco r de r and you r TV as shown on this
p age.

box fo r you r cable/satellite TV, set u p
following the inst r uctions on the next p age.
Using the setu p on this p age you can:
• Reco r d any channel by selecting it on
the cable box, satellite r eceive r o r digital
te rr est r ial r eceive r .
• Change channels and set time r
r eco r dings on the exte r nal r eceive r using
the GUIDE Plus+
®
system (via the
G-LINK™ cable, and afte r setting u p ).

• Do not connect this r eco r de r to you r TV
‘th r ough’ you r VCR, satellite r eceive r o r
othe r com p onent. Always connect each
com p onent di r ectly to you r TV o r AV
am p lifie r / r eceive r .
• When using the GUIDE Plus+ system to
make a time r r eco r ding f r om an exte r nal
r eceive r , make su r e that the exte r nal
r eceive r is switched on.
