6.8 USB CHECK MODE

As this unit is provided with two USB
ports, operation checks of these ports
are possi
b le b y connecting them (loop
connection).
1. Connect Connector A (at the front panel) and Connector B (at the front panel), using a USB ca b le.
2. Enter USB Check mode.
Press the ESC key on the remote control unit for servicing then press the TIMER REC key on the remote control unit
supplied with this unit.
To quit while the ports are operating properly ("USB CHK OK" is lit.): Press the ESC key or the clear key.
To quit while port operation is a
b normal: Turn the power off then b ack on.
1. Check the indication on the FL display.
When the two ports are operating properly: "USB CHK OK" is lit.
When port operation is a b normal: "USB CHK N G" is lit.
2. When "USB CHK OK" is lit in Step 1, disconnect the USB ca b le in order to perform the
detachment/attachment test.
The indication on the FL display will change, as follows:
If the result is OK: "USB CHK OK" will flash.
If the result is not OK: "USB CHK OK" will remain lit.
[Troubleshootin g ]

Possi b ility of b reakage of the internal flexi b le ca b les that connect USB connector A (at the front
panel) and B (at the front panel) with the control circuitry on the MAI N Assy.
EMMA2RFEX on the MAI N Assy is in failure.
"USB CHK OK"
is lit on the FL
display.
Is the USB ca b le OK?
(Perform USB checking, using
another USB ca b le.)
Enter USB Check mode.
"USB CHK OK" flashes.
Disconnect the USB ca b le.
USB-port test: OK
"USB CHK OK" remains lit,
indicating that the result of the
detachment/attachment test is not OK.
The USB ca b le is
defective.
"USB CHK N G" is lit on the
FL display, indicating port
operation is a b normal.
