In case of errors in the Power Adjustment Mode, the following screen is displayed.

[Contents to check]
1. Record the data to a designated disc (D V D-R / D V D-RW / D V D-RAM) in real time.
2. Measure an error rate at a place where recording is executed.
Measurement method: Refer to the simplified error rate measurement method in the Service Mode.
3. Check that the error rate is 3.3e-3 or
b elow.

The left num b er indicates the Step Mode in
which the error has occurred.

• The PU flexi b le ca b les may not have b een connected.
• TM or main b oard error is suspected.
3: Forced termination
This num b er is displayed when you pressed [CLEAR]
on the remote control unit for service and executed
forced termination.

Check if there is any defect or fingerprint on the disc. If you find any pro b lem with the disc,
change the disc and try the check again.

The power adjustment may have b een unsuccessful.
Try the power adjustment again.
If the a
b ove two do not solve the pro b lem, a defect with MAI N Assy or PU is suspected.
