7.6 DISASSEMBLY

Remove the bonnet by removing the eleven screws.

Press the STANDBY ON button to turn on the
power.

open the tray.

Remove the tray panel.

Press the

STOP OPEN/CLOSE button to
close the tray.

Press the STANDBY ON button to turn off the
power.

Remove the six screws.

Remove the bottom plate.

Pull the tray by a hand.

Insert a

screwdriver (small) into the slit, and
slide the drive cam in the direction of the arrow.
Diagnosis of the DVDM Assy
Note 1: Do NOT look directly into the pickup lens. The laser beam may cause eye injury.
Note 2: Even if the unit shown in the photos and illustrations in this manual may differ from your product, the procedures
described here are common.
Note 3: For performing the diagnosis shown below, the following jigs for service is required:
• Jig flexible cable 24P (GGD1111) + Extension board (GGF1575)

Note:
To remove the tray panel, disengage it from the hooks by slowly bending it
toward you in order not to damage the hooks, then pull it up.
