The Development unit shall be used only without any digital tachograph. Never
use the Development unit in any vehicle.
Use only the Standard unit in vehicles and for the connection to a digital tachograph.
2.2
The units
The PikoEval consists of two units:

Standard unit
The Development unit can be identified optical by the RS232 Sub-D connector at the back
side and by a special software package installed.
The Standard unit has the same software package installed as the units in the field.
The functional description of the Standard unit PikoLoad and PikoTest can be found in the
corresponding documents.
2.3
The software of the Development unit
The Development unit has installed a special development software which does not need
any digital tachograph. For this purpose some demonstration data are stored in the unit.
The normal operation is in PikoLoad mode. The insertion of a company card is not necessary
at the Development unit. Mass memory data and driver card data are stored in the unit.
By insertion of the FMS-Test card the PikoTest mode is activated which enables the
evaluation of this function – without access to a real FMS-Standard bus system.
FMS-Demo data are stored in the unit for this purpose.
