You canÕt make or
receive calls and
the red LED is on.
T1 or E1
1. Check that the T1 or E1 line is connected
to the top port of the T1 or E1 network
interface board.
2. Verify that you configured the T1 or E1
network correctly. Check the Set Data
Rate and the Line Configuration options
in the T1 or E1 network configuration
menu.
Contact your telecommunications
department for this information. Make
sure you donÕt change the settings with-
out their assistance.
If your conÞguration is correct and the
red LED stays on, contact your network
provider.
3. Make sure that your network is set up for
a direct connection and place a call to
the videoconferencing system from the
Manual Dial screen.
This tests the components of the
system. If the test indicates a defective
component, contact your PictureTel
service provider.
If the test doesnÕt indicate a defective
component but you still canÕt make or
receive calls, contact your network
provider.
