Basic settings
3.2.1
Default upon delivery/default settings
By default upon delivery or after the system is reset to the default settings, the following
functions and properties are available:
–
The user name is "admin", the password is "admin".
–
All IP parameters are deleted. The device is set to the following default IP settings:
IP address:
192.168.0.254
Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
–
Auto negotiation is activated at the RJ45 port:
–
The wireless interfaces are deactivated.
–
The web server is active, http and https access is possible.
–
Language setting: English.
–
Automatic WLAN channel selection
–
SSID: PxC
–
Network authentication: Open
–
Encryption: Disabled
–
DHCP server: Not active
–
DHCP client: Active (with fall-back to static IP address if there is no response to DHCP
requests)
3.2.2
Reset to default settings
There are two ways to reset the device to the default state upon delivery. Please note that
all customer-specific configuration settings will be deleted.
3.2.2.1
Reset using the reconfiguration button

Switch off the device.
•
Press and hold down the reconfiguration button and switch the device back on again
(see Figure 3-1).
•
Hold down the button until the left-hand green "HOST" LED remains lit (around
20 seconds).
•
The reset may take a few minutes.
Initial configuration can only be performed via the RJ45 port.
All user settings will be lost when resetting to the default settings.
Please note that the IP address will also be changed to the default settings.
