The distance between the nose (3)
of the carrier and cam (48) on the main shaft is too large. This distance can be set and checked in
the following way. Turn the changer into idle position (toothless part of the control disc opposite 3.
the main axis). Position the device vertically, 20 that the intermediate wheel is at the bottom. Then
loosen the screws (5) and (6) a few turns, where the locking clip (7) can be moved back and forth.
A mold is now clamped around the main shaft (4) (see fig.).
This mold can easily be made from a
strip
of tin (see).
By moving the locking bracket, the
arrot
position can be set such that when the fiber disc (8) rests
on the center of the cam (4a), the cam (3) of the driver (2) just touches the lip of the setting gauge. If
the requirements of the mold are observed, the distance between the cam (3) of the driver and the
main shaft (4) will be 3.8 mm. With this adjustment, the pre-tension of the
arrêt
spring must be set in
such a way that the latching takes place smoothly and without any play. Using the lip on the
arrot
bracket, the pre-tension can be corrected if necessary. The pivot point of the driver on the control
disc must not touch the catch if the control disc has one revolution
makes.
