4 Operation
DANGER
Caution: damaged product
Putting a damaged product into operation can be extremely hazard-
ous.
In case of visible damages, make sure the product is not put into
operation.
WARNING
Make sure that the limits and ambient conditions specified in the technical data
(
→
8,9) are met.
DANGER
The power plug may only be plugged into an AC outlet that is equipped with a
protective ground contact. Use only a matching three-conductor power cable with
correct ground connection. The protective effect must not be defeated by an
extension cable without protective ground conductor.
WARNING
Check the vacuum in the QMA before you insert the power plug of the SP 200.
Required vacuum conditions:

If you use the compact gauge head connected to the QME, the power plug may
be inserted without checking the vacuum conditions. But do not turn on the
Emission and Channeltron voltage until the above limits have been attained.

Insert the power plug.
WARNING
The power plug should be easily accessible. If this is not the case at the
installation site, a power switch or connector must be provided in an easily
accessible location.
