3 Transport and storage
3.1 Unpacking / repacking
For transport, the pumping station is fastened to a pallet in a slip-free manner, covered
with a plastic sheet and secured in wooden holders or wooden crates.
3.2 Transport
General notes
Remove the locking cap from the vacuum and exhaust flange immediately before con-
necting!
– Check the cone strainer, paying attention to the o-ring.
Remove desiccant from the area of the vacuum flange and exhaust flange on the pump
after removing the sealing caps!
Notes on the pump-
ing station
The pumping station comprises a single frame.
Only raise the pumping station at the lifting eyes provided on the frame or transport us-
ing a forklift truck.
– Do not lift pumping station by the intake flange of one of the roots pumps or the ro-
tary vane pumps.
NOTE
Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging materials cannot be reused after unpacking.
Dispose of them according to the applicable regulations.
WARNING
There is a risk of injury if the system is not transported properly.
Danger to life from falling or protruding loads if the system is not properly secured to
lifting devices or is not transported properly.
Use suitable lifting devices and tools.
Ensure that the weight is distributed evenly (danger of tipping).
Pay attention to attachments and superstructures.
Test the hanging for high center of gravity.
Never stand under suspended loads.
