76 . Raman IdentiCheck Getting Started Guide

Installing Spectrum Software

You must not connect the instrument USB cable or, if applicable, the triggered fiber optic

probe USB cable to the PC before the Spectrum software has been installed.

After the software is installed, you should switch on your instrument. See

SOP-1: Switching

the IdentiCheck on

on page 53. Wait a few moments for your instrument to initialize and

then connect the instrument USB cable and the triggered fiber optic probe USB cable to the

PC.

The instrument then needs to be added to the software. See “Installing a Raman

Instrument” in the

Spectrum Administrator’s Guide

(part number L1050095). You can add

multiple FT-IR spectrometers to Spectrum on the same PC as a Raman instrument. However,

you can only add one Raman instrument to Spectrum.
