Trim the height of the brush weather seal assemblies so that they overlap the 2” step at the bottom front of the
restraint by 1” and the dock leveler front angle by approximately 1”. Ensure that the two halves of the brush weather
seal assemblies meet at the center of the pit opening. Fasten brush weather seal assemblies to the dock face using
1/4 concrete screws of the type that are removable and re-useable (see
Figure 5: Mounting the Brush Weather Seal
on page 9). Note: If the trimming operation removes some bolt holes and fasteners, then the cover plate and
brush weather seal carrier may need to be re-drilled. This will depend on how much material is removed from the
brush weather seal assemblies to suit restraint vertical opening and dock height.
